Mission
The Town's Neighborhood Service Office responds to complaints regarding municipal code violations that affect the safety and quality of life for residents in our community. This is achieved through a combination of education, communication, helpful resources, enforcement and assistance in referring reports and concerns to appropriate local partnerships. Such as Larimer County Sheriff's Office or the NOCO Humane (formerly Larimer Humane Society)
News and Updates
Update 11.15.2023
Neighborhood Services Office will be closed Thursday November 23rd and Friday the 24th to observe the Thanksgiving Holiday. Regular office hours resume Monday November 27th.
Online 'Report a Concerns' confirmation emails will be sent Monday November 27th.
- Voicemails left on the 'Report a Concern' mailbox will be returned Monday November 27th.

Common Code Violations
All weeds and lawn grasses must be kept at a height of no more than 6 inches.
Branches and Tree Limbs that extend over sidewalks and street's must be kept a minimum of 15 feet above the street and 8 feet above the sidewalk.
Lumber, junk, debris, unused objects, abandoned objects or appliances shall not be stored outdoors.
Maximum number of animals:
| Dogs | No more than 3 |
| Cats | No more than 3 |
| Aggregate of Cats & Dogs | Total of 4 (over the age of 4 months) |
Dogs that bark, whine, screech or howl for more than 10 minutes repeatedly during the day and 5 minutes during the night continuously are deemed a nuisance.
Citizens experiencing animal related issues (barking dogs) should contact Larimer County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's office may dispatch NOCO Humane formerly Larimer Humane Society, to respond to the issue directly.
Maximum number of animals:
| Small Livestock (Chickens /Fowls) | Under no circumstance may more than 12 small livestock be kept on a property. |
| Roosters | Under no circumstance are roosters allowed within the Town. |
Storage and the Occupancy of Trailers:
| Stored on private property | Up to 72 consecutive hours in any (1) month. Exemption: vehicles stored in rear yard or side yard behind front yard setback |
| Adjacent from private property (Street /Roadway) | Up to 48 hours in any one month. |
| Storage of 2 or more | No more than 14 days in (1) Calendar Year. |
| Temporary Occupancy (public or private property) | No more than 14 days in a Calendar Year. |
No person shall permit unsheltered storage:
Any automobile, truck, tractor, motorcycle or self-propelled vehicle, which is junked, wrecked, wholly or partially dismantled discarded, abandoned or unable to function for the purpose for which it was originally constructed. The following are examples defined in the code:
| Absence of an effective registration plate upon such vehicle |
| Placement of the vehicle or parts thereof upon jacks, blocks, chains, or other supports. |
| Absence of one (1) or more parts of the vehicle necessary for the lawful operation of a vehicle on a street or highway. |
*A maximum of one (1) vehicle only per lot or parcel of real property shall be permitted if said vehicle is entirely covered with a one-piece opaque heavy tarp or commercial car cover, securely fastened at all times.

Every owner or occupant of any premises within the Town abutting a street and having a sidewalk adjacent to the street shall have the duty to keep the sidewalk clean of snow and ice.
All snow and ice shall be removed within twenty-four (24) hours of accumulation.
Owners adjacent to an alley are responsible for maintaining vegetation to the centerline (or middle) of the alley.
Signs are not approved to be located in the public right of way and may be removed without notice.
Received a Notice of Violation or Friendly Reminder?
You’ve received a Friendly Reminder or Notice of Violation letter. Now what?
- The Town's Neighborhood Services Officer starts by issuing a Friendly Reminder or Notice of Violation to the property owner.
- Upon receiving the notice, the concern or violation needs to be remedied. The Town is seeking voluntary compliance and will work with property owners to achieve a resolution. Please communicate any completion, or progress being made towards achieving compliance with the Neighborhood Services Office.
- Please note once the concern or violation is resolved, you will not receive further notices if the compliance is maintained.
