NEWS: Around 8:22 p.m., on Friday, November 27, Wellington Fire responded to a 911 call for a train derailment north of Wellington. When Engine 17 arrived on the scene, they saw a BNSF engine had collided with an empty coal train parked at the Platte River Power Authority Rawhide Energy Station.
