The Connell Asphalt company is planning to build their new plant directly behind the Buffalo Creek Community. They are claiming that it has new standards that pose less of a health risk. Even with these standards, it is not safe to be living within at least 3 miles away from these plants. They got it approved to be lower than the legal standard (1000 feet) to 800 feet. Living near these plants drops your home value by up to 56% if you look up the statistics. The smell and noise is intolerable. Studies have shown people living within 1 mile of these plants, up to 45% of people develop health conditions. Ranging from high blood pressure, burning eyes, sinus problems, and the potential to develop cancer. The plants emit chemicals ranging from arsenic, benzene, formaldehyde, VOC and cadmium. We need to start a petition to stop this company from coming here, and contact local government.

While this is a know issue, I wish to publicly add my voice in support of the very real safety need for a barrier between I-25 and the eastern frontage road. It is basic common sense that the lack of such a safety barrier will cause more tragedy then that we have already experienced this year along this stretch of I-25. Every night the eastern expansion communities residents of Wellington drive home from work and school. To access this community they must drive southbound from the Wellington overpass on the eastern frontage road (@50 miles per hour) to the drivers righthand passengers in vehicles are less then 10 feet from oncoming I-25 northbound traffic moving at speeds upward of 75 miles per hour. At night especially, this is a very, very, clear and present dangerous mix. It is basic common sense that Wellington, CDOT, the State, and the Federal Government should rally to find a timely solution to this very real public safety concern for families of our expanding town.

As I sit on my front porch or work in my garage, I am still seeing speeders and stop sign runners on a daily basis. This has been going on since late August. McClellan Rd is NOT a high way. My main concern is for the many children (including my 4 grandchildren) is for their safety. I used to be a EMS first responder and have seen the worst, I do NOT want to see or hear about an accident related to speeding or running a stop sign in my neighborhood. Is anything in the works? I do understand that LCSO has limited resources and I respect that. I DO HAVE ALL YOUR BACKS and appreciate all that y'all do!
Thank you for reading.

We moved to McClellan Rd in May 2015,
Everyday I would see a Deputy cruising up and down the street. That's good. Lately ( past 3 or 4 weeks) I rarely see any sort of law enforcement anymore.
I know that the posted speed limit is 25 mph, but as I spend most of my days outside I see many vehicles going over 25.
Stop sign running at McClellan Rd and Ronald Regan happens many times a day, not to mention the other stop signs in the area.
Yesterday I saw a car drive right past the school bus with its lights flashing and children off loading, the bus driver did honk their horn, but the car just acted as though nothing was wrong.
There are many children in the area including our 4 grand children who enjoy riding their bikes, one of us are always out with them for their safety.
I know that Larimer County is a large county and you do your best, but would like to see more of your presence.
I fully support what y'all do and we have your backs. Thanks

This new development that is being called "Grace Village" needs to be stopped. This is a church based project that is being proposed to be built on the sod farm at Jefferson and Highway 1. I live in View Pointe and bought my house here in 1999. It is called View Pointe for the open view of the mountains. We paid a lot premium for our west facing lot. Now the local Lutheran Church wants to build a church based community which of course will have no property tax's because of the church exemption. There is no infrastructure to support this bad idea. The towns water supply is already stressed and so is the sewer system. This will also produce a traffic nightmare for anyone living in View Pointe. STOP GRACE VILLAGE!

I think that a similar event could be done in the town. I am looking for people that are open to the idea. I would like suggestions ranging from a venue, artists, what day of the week etc. Please let me know what you think.

All of the agendas are online but if none of the minutes. I'm sure that there is probably just a back log and it takes some time to get them input into the system. If you I am missing something and they are online already some one please let me know where.

Every day I see drivers ignoring the "no left hand turn" signs posted at Crittenton Rd and NE Frontage Rd..I've voiced this issue for past 4years, and for about 2months, police officers parked and issued violations to drivers in 2020..but since then nothing has been inforced..I almost got hit when a driver turned left into MY right hand turning lane to enter and avoid the cement barrier that is there for a reason! I watch these people ignoring the obvious sign that it is illegal to turn left off OR onto Crittenton Rd from frontage road! Is this only going to be addressed AFTER somebody is in a truly serious accident, or worse, killed?? Something needs to be done! I see it happening EVERY day when I'm outside on porch up to 20+ times as early as 4am and continues basically 24hours a day! The signs are NOT helping, and neither is police presence..do SOMETHING before a tragedy DOES happen..
