Town of Wellington only accepts payment for tickets given within the town limits. Please check the bottom left corner to see which jurisdiction the ticket was issued in:
  • Larimer County
  • Timnath Municipal Court
  • Wellington Municipal Court

Payments

Fines can be paid before the court date at the Municipal Services Building, 8225 3rd Street, Wellington, Colorado. The town accepts cash, check, money order, and credit/debit card.

To pay by mail send a copy of the ticket and a check or money order to the corresponding agency listed at the bottom on the reverse side of the ticket. Payments mailed to Wellington should be addressed to:

Colorado Point System

Suspension of Driving Privileges

The point system is based on the age of the driver and type of license. If you are in one of the following age categories and accumulate points as shown, the Colorado Motor Vehicle Division may suspend your driving privilege for as long as one year.

Age Brackets

Minor driver - 16 to 18 years of age: 

  • More than five points in 12 months
  • More than six points within time period for which license was issued

Provisional driver - 18 to 21 years of age: 

  • Nine points in 12 months
  • 12 points in 24 months
  • 14 points within time period for which license was issued

Driver - 21 years of age or older: 

  • 12 points in 12 months
  • 18 points in 24 months

Driver in course of employment: 
(The court reports driving convictions to the Motor Vehicle Department which can track the points to your driving record.)

  • 16 points in 12 months
  • 24 points in 24 months
  • 28 points in 48 months
